Panic Coda is a shareware web development application for the Mac OS X operating system. It seeks to reduce the amount of applications (such as an FTP client, CSS editor, a version control system, etc.) you need to develop websites and to improve your team’s workflow. Coda’s one-window web development philosophy uses a tabbed interface for text editing, file transfers, SVN, CSS, and even "Books" which embeds web books that are searchable (it comes with The Web Programmer’s Desk Reference but you can add your own).

No, Mac OS X is less demanding on the hardware than Microsoft Windows, as Mac OS X is designed especially for the Mac and it does not require any third party drivers, unlike Microsoft Windows. Every Mac is more than capable therefore to run Mac OS X.

Lots of power, a nice Integrated Development Environment and comes with a lot of free tutorials... and the best part... IT'S FREE!!!

I've used the Visual Studio Express Editions since 2005 and love them. A lot of drag and drop controls with little programming experience needed. Also integrates well with Popfly and writing applications for Facebook
